As a Sous Chef for Papa's Loft House, you will leave our guests with a great impression! You will be responsible for supervising the team, making schedules, placing orders and, of course, preparing dishes. What kind of dishes? A flavor from all over the world. So, as a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for coordinating the kitchen team, ensuring the concept and creating a great experience for our guests!

PAPA'S LOFT HOUSE

Papa's Loft House is part of Papa's Houses and has been a proven concept since 1989. Papa's Loft House is located in Amsterdam's Gelderlandplein with a green rooftop. Guests escape the hustle and bustle here and enjoy, good times & great food. Furthermore, you will also find our hotel here: Element Amsterdam Hotel. Papa's Beach House (second location) has its location in the Haarlemmermeerse Bos in Hoofddorp at a beautiful lake. Both locations has various possibilities for organizing private events, business get-togethers and weddings.

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

10:00: Quietly wake up and make a nice breakfast
11:00: On the way to a busy day in the kitchen 🔪 But, first... a cup of coffee where you will discuss the day with your team beforehand.
11:30: Mise-en-place time: washing, cutting, pre-frying and making sauce. 🍽️
12:00: Lunchtime approaches; all plates are prepared as agreed. You are in control!
14:00: Stock check ✔️ The asparagus is almost gone, the hollandaise sauce needs replenishing and there is more than enough fresh baguette left in the house. 🥖 You make sure there is enough coming in from our suppliers tomorrow since we have an event scheduled of 100 pax!
15:00: You have a performance review with a colleague, together you build a stronger kitchen team.
16:00: You make sure the staff gets some delicious food too! 🍽️
17:30: The first dinner guests arrive, it's going to be fun! 💪🏽
19:30: It's full house! 🧀 🐟 🧂You thrive in the bustling environment.
22:30: A well-deserved drink with the whole crew! 🍺

What's in it for you?

• Salary based on skills and experience (classification according to job scale VII of the hospitality collective bargaining agreement) with room for growth.

• Travel allowance according to a sliding scale, at 23 cents per kilometer starting at 7.5 km one way, with a maximum of €208.05 per month.
