At Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam Airport, the guest experience begins at the front desk. As a Front Office intern, you’ll be one of the first faces our guests see. During your internship, you’ll learn how to provide a warm welcome and ensure a smooth stay. Under the guidance of experienced colleagues, you’ll develop into a professional Front Office employee.

What to expect?

Under the guidance of the Front Office team, you’ll be responsible for:

• Welcoming guests and assisting them with check-in and check-out.

• Answering guest inquiries at the front desk, by phone, and via email.

• Answering and handling phone calls and guest requests.

• Checking and processing reservations in the hotel system.

• Processing payments and assisting with administrative tasks.

• Noting guests’ special requests and communicating them to the appropriate departments.

• Collaborating with colleagues from departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Sales to provide guests with the best service.

• Learning to handle complaints and unexpected situations, always under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

• Ensuring the reception area maintains a professional and welcoming appearance.

Who are we looking for?

Someone with a passion for hospitality. You’re eager to learn, welcoming, and enjoy interacting with people from different cultures. You’re not afraid to take the initiative and see an internship as the perfect opportunity to further your personal development.

What do we expect from you?

• You’re enrolled in an MBO or HBO program in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism, or a similar field.

• You’re looking for a hands-on internship.

• You’re fluent in Dutch and English (additional languages are a plus).

• You’re presentable, enthusiastic, and service-oriented.

• You work meticulously and are eager to learn.

• Experience with OPERA is a plus, but not required.

• You’re flexible and can easily commute to the hotel.
