As Technical Services Supervisor, you are responsible for the day-to-day coordination and smooth operation of the technical department at Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam Airport. You maintain an overview, monitor the progress of maintenance and service calls, and support the team as needed.

What to expect?

• Daily coordination, supervision, and oversight of work within the technical department.

• Mentoring and coaching employees.

• Hands-on participation in maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations.

• Planning and performing periodic technical and facilities maintenance.

• Ensuring compliance with technical laws and regulations and Marriott standards.

• Identifying areas for improvement and contributing ideas regarding technical innovations or renovations.

• Purchasing and managing inventory of materials and maintenance supplies (installation materials, consumables, spare parts, etc.).

• Managing and monitoring matters such as: the Legionella control plan, building evacuation procedures, the fire alarm system, the emergency power generator, emergency lighting, etc.

• Ensuring compliance with all safety requirements at the hotel, including providing instructions and brief training sessions to other departments regarding (fire) safety.

• Participating in on-call duty (including outside office hours and on weekends).

What do we expect from you?

• At least an L.T.S. or MBO level (electrical/mechanical engineering or another technical field).

• You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a technical environment.

• You’re handy and we can count on you.

• You have a sense of responsibility and are reliable in your communication.

• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office. in addition to being handy, you’re also computer-savvy!

• You’ll typically have a fixed schedule with work hours primarily on weekdays, plus an “on-call duty” rotation among team members on weekends (for additional compensation).

• You live in or near Hoofddorp.

• You are fluent in Dutch or English.

• A salary between €2.900 and €3.289 based on a 38-hour workweek, depending on work experience.

• Travel allowance according to a sliding scale, at 23 cents per kilometer starting at 7.5 km one way, with a maximum of €205.83 per month.
