Best of both worlds! A cool position that is bursting with hospitality: Assistant Restaurant Manager at Papa's Loft House. This position is very dynamic and absolutely challenging. For a Hospitality Professional who wants to develop further in a managerial position in the field of Restaurant & Events, this is the perfect opportunity!

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager in day-to-day business. You will make the staff planning, you will walk a critical round through the business, you will check the reservations of the day and special requests but you will also join the Management Consultation. You check stock, support ordering and look together at the team's training needs. You will also support preparations for all events taking place at Papa's Loft House. These include events such as private parties (like birthdays), meetings but also large business parties!

Papa's Loft House is part of Papa's Houses and has been a proven concept since 1989. Papa's Loft House is located in Amsterdam's Gelderlandplein with a green rooftop. Guests here escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy, good times & great food. Find our menu here! Furthermore, besides the restaurant, you will also find our hotel: Element Amsterdam Hotel. Papa's Beach House has its location in the Haarlemmermeer Woods in Hoofddorp by a beautiful lake. Both locations have various possibilities for organising private events, business get-togethers and weddings.

A DAY IN THE LIFE...

• As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will manage the team, rotate and be responsible for the restaurant and creating the ultimate guest experience (‘good vibes’) during the shift;

• You ensure daily staff planning and the distribution and coordination of work based on occupancy/reservations;

• You are a role model for the team;

• You play a key role in ensuring that Papa's Loft House's product (the restaurant, team, food, drinks and service) and guest experience are of high quality and in line with the brand's strategy (enjoy ‘home away from home’ & ‘good vibes’).

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Are you the spider in the web with a passion for hospitality, whose job it is to inspire a team of young, energetic employees? Cliché but true; you are a host/hostess at heart. You are an inspiring personality and, as coach of a young team, you know how to properly enthuse, develop and guide the staff.

• Preferably a completed hospitality education;

• At least two years of operational hospitality experience;

• Management experience is a plus. We are also happy to schedule an introductory meeting with people who want to step up to managerial level.

• Salary based on skills and experience (classification according to job scale VI of the hospitality industry collective labour agreement) with room for growth;
